Yahoo, summer is here!

Go Drew go!
Look at me momma!

Riding the horse was awesome!
Two cuties; Kai and Jorja

Out for a walk with the Belbin Brigade

Jorja and I just got back from a week long adventure in Saskie. We enjoyed a long stay with gramma and grandpa, got to meet baby Dylan, see Deanna, Gramma Pete and Jorja's partner in crime, Ashlyn! Those two played their hearts out! Only a few minor outbursts which is awesome for 2 two-year-olds. We visited Great Grandma Hart, Grampa Lester and Shannon and had a big stay with the Walls at Lac Pelltier! The Schafers had a big pool party and so I got to see most of my best buds, their kids and enjoy the awesome hospitality from Jo and their pool! Thank God as it was 38 degrees that day...yikes! We came back to Calgary and enjoyed an awesome day at our annual community Stampede party with the Belbins! Jorja and Kai were so cute holding hands, kissing and laughing. Funny girls! They all had horse rides and Drew and Kai attempted the climbing wall. Then Al and I got to do some hard core shopping and lunch. Pretty much every one's perfect day.
We are busy with the lake on the weekends, a Pine lake holiday the first week of August and keeping up with Jorja. Scott and Jett both have broken toe/legs...so much for Scott's summer of skiing....oh well, good thing he loves to drive the boat!

It's been so long....

The Gonsales gang!
Carla and her immediate family.
Scott, his siblings, cousins and their kids, Jorja, and great aunt (grandpa's sister).
Scott's sister Lauren, her hubbie David and me!
Jorja and her new 2nd cousin Sophie hugging. So sweet!
Jorja in a brief quiet moment.
Cutest girl ever at daddy's office.
Well, since my new addiction to Facebook, I haven't been into updating our family blog, but I'm back! Jorja is crazy as usual and we had a really bad time home on the airplane. So bad I vowed to not take her on a plane again until she's about 4. Yikes! We were THAT family...we had a good time in California and it was fun to meet all Scott's family and we have the pictures to prove it. It's flooding here today, so Jorja will be grouchy because she couldn't play outside at Bea's house!

Fun in the sun

My goodness, my Jorja!
SHe is loving the ocean....she still gets up at 5.30 or 6 in the morning so not a vacation like mom and dad are used to but hey...our plane ride was a nightmare as it was nap time but after what felt like an eternity of screaming she passed out for an hour! Her and dad hit the beach every morning and bring me back a coffee, dad's had two days of surfing and mom went shopping and spent all her money. So a perfect trip for all of us! Tomorrow we are heading to the family reunion so it should be fun...more Jorja adventures to come....by the way, I'm not pregnant and yes, I'm burning the white shirt in the picture! The Wearmouths from Santa Cruz, Ca.

Now wasn' that a party!

Jorja had her 2nd birthday party on Saturday and what a great gong show! She was a little overwhelmed at first but she warmed up pretty quickly when she saw all her buddies. She got totally spoiled and mom and dad were so tired at the end of the day; thank goodness Grampa and Gramma came from Saskie to help out and spoil Jorja for the weekend!
Scott and I are going out on Tuesday to see another one of our favorite bands, The Reverend Horton Heat. Probably it will take about a week for me to catch up on sleep as I can't even remember the last time I went out to a show on a "schoolnight"!

4 and 5 word sentences

Well, our little girl has said her first complete 5 word sentence; and what a sentence! We came home last week and Jett had "poopt" all over the basement. Well, as soon as Jorja saw it and I told her to stay away while dad gets something to pick it up with she kept repeating, "Daddy pick up Jett's poopt?", "Dadda pick up the poopt?". She would then proceed to bend down and crouch beside it hovering over it, but not quite touching it as we freaked out about her touching it. We'll never forget her first big sentence as she continually told dad to "pick up the poopt?".
Her 2nd birthday party is this weekend and Gramps and Gramma are heading here from Saskie; they'll be attending along with the other 20 people or so....how do the numbers keep staying so big on party days around here?!
Scott was away last weekend levelling and building our princess's bedroom at the cabin. He had the expert help of Jay Shoults and Mike Pujo...good guys, good guys....Jorja was pretty sick of mom by the time Scott got home last night. I was just tired!
The picture is of Jorja at the Zoo looking at the large male gorilla. She was soooo enthralled and we had to drag her away! "ah-ah momma?" As in, 'a gorilla says ewwwww-ahahah Jorja'. Many of our animals names are actually called by their sound; too cute!

Racers Ready!

Scott pulled out Jorja's bike helmet and lo-and-behold, she will not take it off. It was the icing on the cake when she got to add the "goggies". She enjoys having her helmet watch her bath and her goggles on her head during her bath. "Goggies on dadda?!" So cute except when you want to put a shirt on, or brush her hair! Scott and I are off to see one of our favorite bands on Friday, Social Distortion. We are even going out to dinner with our buddies....what a big night out!

Say CHEESE!

Well, we got through Easter with only a few pounds of "chocky" for her majesty. Her 2nd birthday is in a few weeks and so we are gearing up for that, cabin season and saying "see-ya" to cold and flu season! It was a nasty one for miss Jorja.
